The Companies Section promotes the development and operation of business activities. It constitutes the competent authority of the Republic of Cyprus for maintaining a reliable register for all registered business entities.

The Companies Section is one the two sections of the Department of Registrar of Companies and Intellectual Property, operating under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry.

In the course of the Action Plan to reform and restructure the Department of Registrar of Companies of Companies, measures are underway which will further assist the development of business activity, the attraction of investments, the optimization of customer service and the provision of reliable information, by implementing improved processes, supported by modern technologies.
